Philosophy

The Diocese of Phoenix engages in the faith formation of the young though Catholic schools by integrating faith throughout the school day.  Because Christ is our hope and our children are the future of the Church and society, we place the child at the center of the educational process which promotes academic excellence, morals, values, and leadership through lifelong community service.  It is the mission of the Catholic School to impart an understanding of the Catholic faith, doctrine, and moral perspective, and offer opportunities for their students to participate in Masses and their Parish and Diocese.  Through our schools we encourage self-discipline, self-respect, and respect for others.  We challenge each student, through high expectations, to meet and exceed their personal goals and provide a grounded, faith-based atmosphere where children feel encouraged and can learn, grow, and understand the world.

"Our educational work should go this way to achieve harmony - harmony in all the boys and girls who have been entrusted to us; inner harmony, the harmony of their personality. It is by working in a hands-on way, imitating God, molding the lives of those kids like clay, that we achieve harmony and rescue them from the dissonances perennial darkness. Harmony, by contrast, is bright and clear; it is light. What we have to achieve is the harmony of a heart that grows and that we accompany in this educational journey."

~ Pope Francis (then, Cardinal Bergoglio – April 18, 2012)
